When the Sugar-Rush Wears Thin - A Story Line

I think I've finally met someone that loves chocolate as much as I and whom better to use for a story line when it involves chocolate!

I've asked Clarissa if she would like to play model (WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in July) and we've finally got around to do the shoot over the past weekend.

I don't know who had the most fun... probably Clarissa since she had a WHOLE Aero Mint to focus on ;-) This also have been the one shoot where the model might have been more excited about the shoot than I and for those of you that know me.... well, lets just say that I'd be heart pressed to find someone like that!

The whole idea behind the shoot was being bored with school work, starting to get silly and lively with (the expectation of some sugar and the actual) sugar in your system and then the total collapse when you've come down form your sugar high.

Taking more than enough photographs to compose the story line I've ended up with more than what I needed, which made the decision on which to use quite a difficult one. These made the shortlist.

Clarissa, thank you for all the energy that you brought to the shoot! I enjoyed working with you!!

Probably  my favorite shot from the story line!

Duke and Duchess

I love dogs... I REALLY LOOOOOOOOOVE dogs. Being able to photograph them every now and then is just an added bonus!

When my friend, Mariska, told me that they are expecting pups in the very near future I decided to cross over to the "dark" side and do a pet - pregnancy shoot. (Thinking of... HOW THE HECK did I convince her to do it?! But glad whatever I did worked!!!)

... And YES! We also have a newborn session lined up, so watch this space!

What started out as a tongue in the cheek  shoot (and doing it because it seems to be the latest trend) ended up to be a shoot filled with loads of fun, some awesome end results, and me giving yet another piece of my heart away to dogs that aren't even mine!

Duchess was a bit scared at first, not being used to unfamiliar people (GOSH! could it be so long since we had a coffee date?!), and all but 10 minutes later we had our hands full keeping her on the backdrop and at the props  since she was all over me, curious about the camera, the lights... but most of all enjoying a little TLC (and snacks... again THANK YOU Mariska!) between photos.

Mariska, thanks for all your help with the two of them! Would not have been able to do it without your assistance and help!

To Diddly Doo, thank you for your awesome props! Not sure if they were initially intended for a pet shoot but they worked extremely well!

Mr & Mrs De Bruin

When fellow photographer and friend Michel asked me to do them the honors of photographing their wedding I could have jumped out of my skin with excitement.

I've met this wonderful lady many years ago and shared in the joy when she found this wonderful bloke - Nico. Little did I know that one day I'd have the privilege to witness (and photograph) their wedding.

Michel and Nico May you have many happy years together and may you always treasure one another.

To all the friends and family - here are a little more photos from this gorgeous
couple's wedding.

Destiny Loge - thank you for the extra mile you went for us!

Annelie a HUGE thank you to you as well for opening up your stables in order for us to do some amazing couple photos!
